Yahoo site explorer will show you the first 1,000 backlinks. For many sites that's enough when getting started. After that there are some other choices, but start there since it's free.

Go to backlinkwatch.com and put your domain name. It shows all the backlinks to your site.

Most trusted source is http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/ it won't give you ALL pages if your site is more than 1000 pages, but will give you an idea of what pages link to your domain. You can also use Google webmasters tool to find which pages link to your pages, it does not give you a full picture either. Backlinkwatch serves results from Yahoo again

There are numerous tools to find out backlinks to your site. Here are a few of them:

    1. http://www.makeuseof.com/dir/backlinkwatch-check-backlinks-to-website/
    2. http://www.backlinkwatch.com/
    3. http://www.iwebtool.com/backlink_checker
    4. http://www.addme.com/popularity.htm
    5. http://www.build-reciprocal-links.com/backlink_checker_tool.html
    6. http://www.domain-pop.com/
    7. http://www.online-utility.org/webmaster/backlink_domain_analyzer.jsp
    8. http://www.highqualitybacklinks.com/backlink-checker.html
    9. http://www.searchenginegenie.com/backlink-checker.html
The list is practically endless, but this much should be sufficient to give you a fair idea of your backlinks.

All of these tools are free. Please make good use of them.

Different tools can give you different results for the same site. The difference could be due to the reach and efficacy of their bots, their algorithms and much more.

My suggestion would be to check your results using EACH tool. Compile the results gained from each tool into a different file, and compile it later on into a single file. Go through all the results and remove any duplicates. You will then be left with the ALL backlinks to your site.

I have not included the resources being provided by Google, Yahoo, Bing etc, in addition to other resources mentioned by members.

    Hope it helps

This is completely and utterly wrong, by the way.
Google doesn't show anything more than a very small sample of backlinks as a matter of policy.
Register with Google webmaster tools and you'll get a more accurate report of what backlinks Google is counting.
Other than that, as others have said Yahoo site explorer is your best source.

Yahoo site explorer for all indexed pages and inbounds links to your websites.
Google webmaster tools for pages indexed in Google.
Backlinks watch for all your backlinks and know if they are nofollow or dofollow.

You can check with using above mentioned tools. However, please do not forget that you are optimizing for search engines. You should get link info only counted toward your website from each search engine perspective to be more accurate. It does mean you should not use YahooSiteexplorer to estimate link value for Google, even it can give wider range of link aspect. If you are optimizing for Google then you should see the links that Google does counts.

The most accurate link checker tool for each search engine is the webmaster tools provided by themselves. :)

    Google Webmaster Tools

Site Explorer - Yahoo! Site Explorer

    Webmaster Center - Bing

    Hi,

You can find your website back links from different source just like that if you want to show back of your website for Google then Go with Google website check the section of "Link to your site",

you will get back link details of your website.

About yahoo then Go with yahoo site explorer, and about bing then Go with specific formula just like that link:www.yourdomain.com

hope you will have whatever you need
