Hey, I recently purchased an application online, or I should say, paid for one, but never received it. It's been about a week and a half and I haven't heard a thing from the seller. Now I've tried to dispute payments before, but they always say they can't handle online transactions like this and say talk to the seller. I know people do chargebacks all the time on Digitalpoint, so I imagine someone would be able to tell me how to get my money back. So, what do I have to do to get my money back with Paypal? Tell them I didn't authorize the transaction? Are there other options? Thanks, -nux
If it's only on web as you said you paid for application so it's very hard to proof that you didn't recieve that so that's why they tell you to go back to the seller. I would suggest you to contact the seller one more time and try to solve your stuff with him if not then you can try calling to paypal which is way more effective than opening disputes.
Reference: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/Marketing/securitycenter/sell/ChargebackFAQ-outside Best bet would be to contact your bank's or credit card's support center, explain the situation and follow their procedures. Some backs will do a chargeback with Paypal, some won't unless you deal with Paypal first and try to resolve the matter with them first. The problem though is Paypal has been know for freezing accounts when a chargeback occurs. Just keep that in mind.
Did you buy something that was available to download of shipped? If you buy some downland product, it is very hard to prove that the product never get shipped. PayPal does not get you the money back as there is no shipping involve. Your best bet is to talk to the seller and get the product, if you still want that product.
I've sent a handful of e-mails to the seller over the past few days. I bought it and was supposed to receive it via e-mail shortly after. I'll keep bugging the seller.ay t I just figured there was some easy way to get a chargeback, as I hear about it happening all the time on DP. Thanks for all the info and input.
