    Hi ...

I am thinking of starting a consulting business to help local businesses set up Google Adwords/PPC campaigns to tap into the internet.

Assuming the online business have a $5,000 monthly budget to spend on PPC, how do most consultants charge for their service. Is there a standard practice in terms of percentages or fees?

If you are a PPC consultant , some tips will be most appreciated. Cheers!

Well I am not a professional YET,but I was also thinking about doing this in the near future, need more experience....

For managing others people PPC campaigns, without any consulting, you can charge anywhere from 10%-20% off the ad spend, that is some kind off an industry standard.

As for the consulting it depends on you and your prospect's pocket.;)

10% of spend is fairly standard (not 10% of profit)

    Talk to your competitors.

Pretend you are a potential customer, and ask what their rates are. Then undercut them by a certain percentage.
