Hey guys. How do I change what my sites title shows up as in yahoo's search results?

I thought it was the <title> tag, but I changed that 3 days ago and it still hasn't done anything. Does it just take a while to re-index?

Yes, just give it a little more time. The next time each search engine crawls that page, it will pick up the new title.

    yup. you're right

just patient to wait till googlebot crawl and record it.
or increase your crawl rate on google webmaster tool for more frequent bot crawling your site.

all you have to do is to change your title tag and make sure googlebot visits your site after the change. if you dont have enough backlinks for frequent SE bot visits, then you might have to work on some backlinks or submit your site for social bookmarking. it might take few days for the title to be changed on search results

Thanks for the help guys. Overnight after I posted this, my title in yahoo changed from "_____ Information" to "Find The Best _____ Product", and that has NEVER been the title tag of my homepage. Is it grabbing the title tag of a subpage or something? How can I get it to stop?

This is really frustrating me. I went from 2500 visitors per day to 200 visitors per day because someone bumped me down a spot and has a better title than me. :(
