    Hi,
I know ive heard its hard to change the title of your site as it appears on the yahoo/google search results, but i was wondering if it can be done?

When i first set up my site i was just beginning and just made the title "planet lotto", Now im realising its better to have it somethin along the lines of... "Planet Lotto - UK and Euromillions online lottery syndicate"

Ive changed the title on my page, but still it appears on the search results as just "planet lotto"....

is there a way to change this? Is it somethin that will change over time?

    cheers

I believe it will change over time once the engines cache the site again, others may be able to give a definitive answer.

That is in your meta title and meta description. You have to edit your html file and reupload or if you have a content management system, you can do it in the backend to change it.

    bujol23,

you're right, but it'll take up to 4 months for yahoo/google to index it...

    1. Change meta title AND description according to your need
    2. Resubmit your site or better resubmit sitemap if you have it
    3. Wait
    x. You can use Google Webmasters and Yahoo Siteexplorer to delete old page, but you loose that page until it is indexed again
