Hi, I am using VB 4.0.4 and when there is a thread with some replies, the last reply post comes in top when someone views the post. I want it to be in reverse way i.e Post Comment1 Comment2 like that It should be a configuration somewhere but I am not able to find it. Pls share your knowledge and help me.
No reply in such a long time. May be I am not able to clarify the issue. Please check this thread http://www.awebmastersforum.com/general-chat/12-octopus-predictions-world-cup-2010-a.html As u can see that last post is showing on top, I want to reverse it as first post on top and replies below that... just like here in DP. Please help me, i tried to figure it out (Yes, I am a techie guy ) but didn't find any option for that.
You want it so it's like Original post Comment 23 Comment 22 Comment 21 ... ... comment 2 comment 1 Is that right? Like exactly the reverse of here at digital point?
no i want it like here in DP... i.e if someone clicks on the thread link then first post below second, third and so on...
Did you set up the forum yourself? By default it's set up like here on DP... First, make sure that YOU have your preferences set correctly as the link ya gave shows it in descending chronological order. (like here on DP). 3.8 USERCP > EDIT OPTIONS > Thread Display Options > Thread Display Mode > [Linear -Oldest First] 4.0 Settings > General Settings > Thread Display Options > Thread Display Mode > [Linear -Oldest First] If that is your trouble, check the default for members... 3.8 ACP > vBulletn Options > vBulletin Options > User Registration Options > Default Registration Options > Thread Display Mode > [Linear -Oldest First] 4.0 Sorry, don't have admin access to a 4.x vB forum Keep in mind that I am seeing your posts (as guest) in the link ya gave as such: 07-07-2010 07:09 PM #1 07-07-2010 08:00 PM #2 Yesterday 09:03 AM #3 So that's pretty much just like this thread
Oh yes, its showing in correct order if i am checking as a Guest but for logged in user its in reverse order. Well, I changed the User Registration Options > Thread Display Mode to "Liner - Oldest First" and it's fine now for the registered user also. Thanks again. + for you...
