Hello, I am trying to change the description of my blog . I have All-in-one SEO pack installed as a plugin in WP. I clicked settings at wp-admin, then there is option for all in one seo - i clicked that as well - in that page there is space for adding description - i updated the description some 4-5 days ago - buts still its not updated in search engines? I don't know if i am doing any wrong ? Actually there are a lot of confusing options in that page as well like :- ---> Use Categories for META keywords ---> Use noindex for Categories ---> Use noindex for Archives: ---> Use noindex for Tag Archives: ---> Autogenerate Descriptions: (what to do here - whether to tick it or not ?) ---> Additional Post Headers: ---> Additional Page Headers: ---> Additional Home Headers ---> Log important events: Please tell what to enter in that additional post headers, page headers and home headers. Also what all option should i be ticking ? Thanks
Didnt use that all seo pack, but if you changed your description, just wait until Google modifies it. Submiting a sitemap in Google Webmaster Tools would help also .
Ok, right now i am trying to create sitemap - i have verified by uploading a file to the server from google web master tools - now please tell me how to create a site map - my blog is a wp blog.
Use Arne's sitemap plugin and follow the steps given in there. http://www.arnebrachhold.de/projects/wordpress-plugins/google-xml-sitemaps-generator/ Creating a sitemap should not take you more than five minutes.
I've used this same plugin and it works great. Like he said, shouldn't take more than 5 minutes - if that.
