    Is there one?

I think you'll need to add it through some other means, as the adminCP password is the password of the admin.

    Or have I missed something?

I think you can add a password through your hosts control panel (like Cpanel) but that's not something that comes stock with vB.

Or was it the Admin password you wanted to change? Look up the profile of the admin and enter the new password into the blank... though you may be blocked by the config file...

No No No, Qryztufre you have it all wrong.

The password can be changed by logging into your PhpMyAdmin, and selecting your forums database.

Go to the Users table or search for your administrator username.

Either change the email of the administrator to a new one, or modify any user with admin_privledges to 4 or 5.

You can find more info on this by making a few google searches!

The question was: Ho wto change the vbulletin admincp password from within the admin control panel?

    :p

Either way, I'm not sure what the guy wants... it seems like its the password to the ACP not the actual ADMIN.

Actually no, he is completely correct.

In vBulletin, the password you use for AdminCP is your user account password. So go into your account details and change your password or you can go into

Admin CP -> Users -> Search for User (type in your username) click exact match -> Go to password field and type in a new password.

(I think that's what he wants?)
