How to change the admin email in phpbb3

Discussion in 'phpBB' started by scriptaty, Apr 18, 2008.

    I was just checking if I can install the phpBB3 successfully or not and I became success and with very little effort I got 53 members and I don't want to loss them..

    While installing I kept my personal email id in the admin email and now I want to change it into domain name.

    From where I will be able to do this?

    if you want to change your email go to ACP->Users and Groups put your name on Find A Member text field then submit , it will take you to the overview account there you can change your password and email

    phpBB 3 doesnt support md5 password hashing phpBB 3 now uses its own pasword hashing function phpbb_has();

    Changing the admin email can be done from the admin user preferences, but changing the board email which sends automatic emails can be found in the admin control panel under Client Communication > Email settings.

    THANKS Bunty22! IT WORKED!!!!:)

    @ krazymind :mad:
    Why is he replying to a dead topic???
    BECAUSE NO ONE GIVES A DIRECT ANSWER.

    BUNTY22 was the only one who came up with a CLEAR and SIMPLE ANSWER - the only one that served my needs. So what if it's year too late? Are you the pope of this forum, krazymind?

    All other posters went on-and-on about hacker stuff and md5 (??), and how something can't be done.

    Hidden in your message is a form of smartassness (sry if it's misspelled, i'm not a native english speaker), which helps noone and creates bitterness. I, too, sometimes reply to ancient posts, because i have found a better and simpler way and i just want to help out someone.

    I suggest you get your s--t together and don't speak when you got nothing to say.

    Sry if i offended anyone.
