If you want to withdraw the money from the paypal account you need to have the same bank account name and same paypal name.If your paypal account does not match with your bank account name than you cannot withdraw the funds.I had the same problem. Here is the procedure which I had followed. First you add the bank account in the bank section. Then write the email to the paypal that I want ti change my account name.Then they will send you the procedure and ask you for the details like driver license,PAN card number some more.Then you have to FAX those details. I had this same problem, They require loads of ID such as faxing in a photo ID, bank statments ect... Click the "Contact Us" button near the bottom and follow that.
There is an option in edit profile --> Settings--> You don't need to write any e-mail , just upload the required docs , and write your Name you want to change. You don't need to upload anything if there is some typo mistake in your account , Like from "Jmaes" to "James", even your last name can also be changed. If there is a typo mistake. And the change take place within some minutes , but if would be complete a different name then you need to verify it by uploading docs.
Yes yo have to write the email to paypal and they will send you the exact procedure. I have tried this and they had told me that if you want to change the whole name you have to send the details.
