    Heres my situation.

I am using high speed cable broadband connection with comcast and they provide dynamic ip.

I need to change my IP. Despite of trying the following steps my IP never changes.

    1. Cleared cookies
    2. Ipconfig/release then restart
    3. Reset Modem
    4. Reset my modem and unpluged and left if over night.
    5. Reset modem pluged directly to my computer did ipconfig/release.
    6. Tried a program called hide my IP, it hides my IP but doesnt do wat i need to do.

    None of the above works.
    Any suggestions

    Thanks

What is it that you are trying to do? You said Hide my IP does not work.

check with your isp if it is really a dynamic ip...
reset your modem for 1 minute only...

tried ipconfig/release but then ipconfig/renew after that? It should work if you have a dynamic IP

Any proxies will do it but will slow down your connection by 50% or more!

Call your ISP says someone hacked your computer and has used your IP for all kinds of stuff that make your surfing experience suffer. Did this once, worked like a charm. Other people recommend you to refrain from paying your internet bill for a while and then when you're shut off repay it again and most likely you'll get a new IP... I prefer the first method but hey you have those weirdos who go for the latter.

    1. Run
    2. Type "cmd"
    3. Type ipconfig /flushdns
    4. Restart your modem.
    5. It should do the job.

As ISP cache is cleared, the process is more likely to do the changes than just using the previous IP address.
