How to change collumn widths, or change to dynamic, wordpress?

I have this wordpress blog and the width is fixed, but i want an adbrite 720*90 banner in it. How can I change it to a different size or make it dynamic? Here is the blog:

IMO, look for a better theme because that one will take some work. If you really want to use it, this is what you need to do.

You first need to edit the full-width images used for the background (header, repeater, and footer).
They are used to give the appearance of columns, so the content and sidebar parts must all line up when you edit them.
Assuming you want to make the content 800px to fit the banner, widen the images by 240px so they are 1240px long.

Then change these widths in the stylesheet (style.css):
#wrapt width:1240px;
#menu width:1130px;
#content width:800px;
#commentbox width:736px;

I simply added 240px to the existing widths. They are the main ones but there may be others that need to be changed to fit the new layout.

 

thanks for that, but you are right, I cannot find any good themes in the wordpress themes section. Can you recommend a better one? Basically I am using wpomatic for autoposting and it looks two notches below terrible. Specifically it shifts the menu boxes all over the place on most of the themes.
