I have seen many sites displaying adsense ads under the title "Sponsored links" without the usual "ads by google" at the bottom. I am wondering how I can get the code to change my adsense ads to display like that
Click on the MyAccount tab and then edit at Onsite Advertiser Sign-Up. <oops> Never mind, replied too fast</oops>
exactly kosher to do that. Chances are, google will disable your adsense. Are you sure they are google adsense ads? Or is the site or sites one of those that have like 30million visitors? Google does tend to look the other way on high traffic sites that bring them the bucks.
I remember seeing some sites where adsense ads were displayed under "Sponsored links" Or was it the sponsored links that were displayed along with google search results? Anyway thanks for the replies
Don't mess with the Google codes unless you know what you're doing, otherwise you're just asking for trouble.
Those were premium publishers, like Softpedia. If you ever get 50.000.000 CONTENT pageviews a month or around that figure), give Adsense a mail
Well if you like you can hack the Google Code to change Ads by Google to whatever you can think of ... however, you can wait for a dead email to be sent to you by google. Otherwise, leave it as it is ...ke ke
I think they ask you to contact them if you would like to discuss ad customization, and I believe the figure is 20,000,000 ad impressions monthly
ANY publisher is allowed to label the ads with either of the two accepted phrases "sponsored links" or "advertisements." Use of any other title bars, attention getters, or text are NOT permitted. Removal of the "Ads By Google" or the "ads by gooooogle" is not allowed period to us low regular publisher.
Reading comprehension must be one of those unnecessary classes discussed in the college tution thread. :/
Usually only the "top dawg" websites can do this, so my guess is that they are premium advertisers. (Sites in the top 10k according to Alexa)
I have seen many scripts that disable "ads by google" and other terms in there so webmasters add manually "sponsered links" in the belief that Google will not penalize them for get rid of the bottom line. As I said, get rid of such line (or the top in skycrappers) is caused somehow for scripts like IPB mods and others but webmasters should stick to the terms adding by hand "ads by google" and not "sponsored links"
