How to change a subdomain DNS?

    Hi,

    This is my website: http://www.cdkeyheaven.com
And the forum linked to it: http://anyways.proboards55.com/

I would like to put that forum under the www.forum.cdkeyheaven.com subdomain. To do this I need to change this subdomain DNS to point the one on proboards according to the admin at proboards.
Problem is that I'm unable to change the DNS on my subdomain without changing the one of the domain itself...

My main domain (www.cdkeyheaven.com) has a DNS pointing to my webhoster (www.50webs.com), if I change the DNS, nothing will work anymore.

I registered my main domain with www.domainrightnow.com, and that's where I created the forum.ckeyheaven.com subdomain. However, I am only able to forward that domain but unable to change its DNS as I mentionned before.

I realized also that I can create a subdomain for cdkeyheaven.com on my webhoster control panel (www.50webs.com). So I created forum.cdkeyheaven.com, but here too I am unable to change the DNS, all I can do is manage the files inside forum.cdkeyheaven.com.

My question is how am I supposed to transfer the forum www.anyways.proboards55.com to forum.cdkeyheaven.com if I cant change the DNS of this subdomain and if I don't want to start a brand new forum?

    Thanks,
    anyways

p.s. I am doing all this because I think integrating the forum to my domain should improve my site rank which is 1... Is my thinking correct?

I know that I need credits and all, I already searched for this (though thank you for taking the time to do the same). The problem is that I can't change the damn DNS. I just contact my host (50webs) asking them if there is a possibility to change the DNS of my subdomain, hope they'll reply affirmatively!

Btw you were talking about 3rd party dns management, whats that?? which do you know and that works, point me out soem website!

3rd party DNS management companies are like web hosts except they only host DNS for you.

    UltraDNS.net ($15/mo expensive)
    DynDNS.com (medium ~$30/year iirc)
everydns.net (free, clumsy interface) (I use this one because I'm cheap)
freedns.afraid.org (free, clumsy interface) (I use this one because I'm cheap)

You still need to get your registrar to change the name-servers for your domain. If you got your domain through your host you will still need to ask them to make the change for you but after it is done you can make almost any changes you need to with the control panel.
