Sign it on the back, put your bank account #, go to your bank and either deposit it through a teller, or in an envelope through an ATM. Don't forget to fill out the deposit slip. Takes 2-3 business days to clear, or 1 day if you're using the same bank (Citibank, in your case).

Your other option is to go to a check cashing place and eating up a fee of 3-7% to cash it on the spot. In that case, don't sign it yet.

Well you will have to just submit your cheque with your bank paying in slip with all the details of your bank account. In nutshell you have to treat Google adsense cheque as normal cheque as well. I hope that there will be a branch of citi bank in your city. If yes than this will take 2 to 3 days to credit into your account. Otherwise you will have to talk with your bank in which you have your account.

    I hope this will help.

    Take Care.

    Citibank is a US bank.

I'm going to assume that Natwest is an English bank.

Take the check down to your bank. Give it to a nice teller. He/She will help you fill out the forms and they'll take care of it from that point on.

You don't need to have a citibank account to cash it.
Just deposit it to your already existing savings account.

every check needs to be paid through some bank and your adsense check will will be paid through adsense citibank account where adsense deposits the money to pay the publishers. when you deposit the check in your own bank account, your bank will collect the money form citibank and deposit into your account

To answer you question, you can deposit at any bank. I am not sure of the clearing time. It depends on if there is currency conversion etc...

Down here in Southern Europe it takes only 2 days to clear when deposited at your bank. By the way, congrats for your first (?) cheque!!
