hi my site index page is crawled twice a week but the links present on that page or not getting crawled. how to make them crawled i do linkexchange and directory submission. are any other methods are their to make them crawl.
Eagle, you dont mention how old the website is, or when it was first indexed by the search engines, but Yahoo & MSN to pick up all of your internal pages this can take some time. They are quicker than they used to be, but in time you will see them, just keep getting links pointing to the pages and you can't go wrong.
Put the site in your signature here at DP as that can further help. How much depends on how often you post but any little helps.
what i always do is goto googles cache of the page, then text only version of the page and make sure google can "see" the links to follow. Some of these fancy menue systems it does not always spot. A site map with "text only links" usually helps also
If you change your content by 1 KB or more, G will crawl your site usually within a couple of days is what I've found.
Me and Joe did this as an experiment one night. It was interesting some of the things that would trigger a crawl Or wouldn't. But I'm confident I can trigger a crawl now with the right changes at the right time.
I think a sitemap, and links to the sitemap will do the trick. I just got a 10k pages website indexed in less then 2 weeks.
Its all about getting links to your website. A site map is needed as well. Other then that nothing much.
Trial and error...and that is at least 1 KB of the text content change. If you change other elements of your site the SE's would still come, but it would probably take longer than 2 days. SE's like constantly changing, relevant content more than anything else, even more than links even though incoming links are a larger factor in SERPs. This is why RSS feeds are becoming so popular for SEO geeks. Links from sites that are crawled a lot obviously would help a site become crawled itself much more. One thing you can do is always include your site link in the signature section of blogs like this one. This site has many incoming links and its content is changing everyday.
I agree with nlgordaz. On my highest ranking site one thing I do that I've noticed helped a while back was something as simple as having a php script which updates the current date in the main text window. Seems like a pretty simple thing, but simple things like that seemed to make a difference. It's one simple way to add something that is always automatically updated Ian
When it comes to getting Google to index your sub pages, time is very important. Google records all the links on your main page, but will not automatically crawl these pages. The main page will never move, but google does not always trust sub pages. Until they are content that the pages are staying there, they will not crawl them. Give the pages time. I know it is hard not to be inpatient, but unless you are willing to pay for advertising, you will have to wait.
goto www.google.com search for any topic u wish .... on the bottom of the page click "dissatisfied with results" .... fill up form typein ur URL there... and submit...its simple.
