Bounce rate is high your website so that the possibility is when ever users landing in your page and withing a second your website is closed by users so that's the bounce rate is higher and that point of view is very critical for your website.

Bounce rate within the 40 to 50% is always good in SEO but it's also depend upon that which type of website you have. You are set the google analytics account then you will see all the answers of your question easily.

You really don't need to calculate it manually, Google analytics or any other web analytics can help you in that, provided you setup analytics properly.

    Bounce Rate v/s Exit Rate.

Bounce is something when people doesn't page any other page than the landing page.

Exit rate is calculated when visitors leave your website from any other page than landing page

HI, Exit rate is used in web site traffic analysis is the percentage of visitors to a site who actively click away to a different site from a specific page, after possibly having visited any other pages on the site. The visitors just exited on that specific page.
