Great ideas, jjp! I actually know this stuff "by heart" you could say, so technically I don't need to rehearse. But it's true that I don't have an exact script to go by. What do you think about typing and printing a separate script? Or will I sound too much like I'm reading? You can tell I hated presentations back in school, lol.
No problem! I actually offered another Christmas gift for DP members. It's a 8 hour training package for anyone who's interested in running membership sites. I think the post may be off the front page now, but the details are still available at my blog. Happy holidays, Sherry
Presentations You and me both. After you have done a few, it doesn't bother you as much. Script Here is what you need to do. Write up your main ideas on note cards. Then to practice, give the presentation on each idea on separate videos, that are 2 to 3 minutes each. Then after the videos are created, go back and review the videos. Which part did you struggle on? Which part was smooth? Work on the parts you struggle on. Soon you will have a very smooth presentation on video. It is the same process directors use to get each part of a movie perfect. Blog Address What is your blog address?
As a beginner in this forum, I'm reading everything I can, and I was glad I stopped here and read this. Great information. thanks for the tips
Again, excellent ideas. I actually got some note cards after reading your post and practiced on Camtasia. Thank God Camtasia is so easy to use and edit. However, I've yet to find out how to block out certain information on screen I don't want viewers to see. I wanted to show some eBay auctions for my domains names that were very successful, without giving away the names and buyer info. Hopefully I can figure this out soon! Just add a callout. Choose blur for the callout type. Then you can re-shape the callout box however you need to cover a specific section of the screen.
