How to buy back my expired domain? RF screwed me?

Need some urgent help here. my domain expired on 4-23-07 and i forgot to renew it back. I have this name under registerfly. i know this is screwed up now but i need to know how to get back my domain name.

I renewed it yesterday, paid the fees. Still could see the domain on my control panel. But today the domain was gone.

When i paid the renewal fees, RF shows confirmation of one hour delay before renewing the domain. Today the domain is gone. Am i being screwed?

I really need help on this. Any ways to get back the domain?

    Contact registerfly.com

    Customer Service
    8 AM to 6 PM EST (M-S)

registerfly.com used to be tied with the Registrar enom.com -- but now they are their own Registrar -- maybe this was a enom.com domain.

    FROM REGISTERFLY

Discontinuation of using reseller services with enom.com

We are aware that enom may have sent a notice in regards to the relationship between enom/registerfly.
As of February 2006 RegisterFly.com become an ICANN Accredited registrar. We formerly used to resell domain services under enom.com but stopped accepting registrations for them on February of 2006 (1 year ago). Since we are ICANN Accredited we have no need to process new registrations/transfers under enom anymore and spent the past year moving large numbers of names away from enom.com to RegisterFly.com. The amount of names remaining at enom.com is relatively small. Any registrations/transfers after February 1st 2006 are directly under RegisterFly.com, inc. which would not be affected by this.

Our top priority is ensuring our customers are not impacted in anyway during this transition. If you are a registerFly.com customer, rest assured we value your business and strive to offer the lowest possible pricing with the best online tools.

They can't take the domain away that fast -- you should still have some time.

Currently, the following TLDs have Redemption Grace Periods com, net, org, info, biz, us.

    --------------------------------------------------

What is the Domain Redemption Period?

The redemption period is a Domain Registry period of up to 30 days that occurs when a domain name is deleted after having expired unrenewed. Instead of just getting deleted and returning to the pool of domain names available for registration, the existing registry keeps a hold on the domain name in a what is technically called as REDEMPTION PERIOD. During this 30-day redemption period, the original domain registrant (owner of the domain) is allowed to retrieve the domain name from deletion by contacting their Registrar. This process costs an additional fee.

This extra 30-day period - redemption period - extends the time available to renew expired domain names by 30 days. However, all names that enter the redemption period are removed from the zone files in the global DNS, as a result, any Web site or email services associated with the domain name gone into redemption period will stop working and would appear offline.

    Pending Delete Phase

In addition, after the 30-day redemption period there is a 5-day Pending Delete Phase. When a domain is in Pending Delete Phase, no one is allowed to renew the domain and it cannot be yet registered because its still not returned to the public domain pool. After the 5-day Pending Delete Phase the Registry will release the domain name back into the public pool of available domain names enabling fresh registration.

    Renew domain before redemption phase

It is strongly recommended that you renew your domain registration in time before the domain name is placed in redemption lock because once its placed in redemption, the zone files of such domain gets automatically removed from the Domain Name Service and associated website and email etc services will cease to work.

You may have to place a backorder, if it cannot be renewed

Registerfly lost their ICANN Certification so technically they no longer can sell any domain names.

All the bad things that you have heard about them are probably true.

    Contact Registryfly?

I doubt you'd get a response or get your domain. The only hope is to buy it once it drops or backorder it

    Registerfly is done. Period.

Try and backorder it through Pool, Namewinner, etc.
