You can preorder domain names at snap, pool, namejet or at freshdrop.net or at tdnam websites. If your bid
is high enough you can bag an expiring domain.

so I will need to bid on the domain name, and if I win, then I will only need to pay the money I bid right?
Are there any extra charges etc?

    Thanks
    Rick

At Tdnam you have to pay apart from the bid amount the domain registration charges, but for others you will
be invoiced with the amount you have to pay.
you should note however that transfer of domain names to your account/name will take some time.

There are detailed terms and conditions available at the respective sites.

I recommend registering at snapnames, pool, and clubdrop. Registration is free. Put in a backorder for the name you want at all 3 companies. You are not charged anything unless they are successful at getting the name. Minimum is $60-70. If there are multiple people wanting the name they will contact you and the name goes into an auction state. Like I said though unsuccessful attempts are no charge but dont be suprised if the name is popular it goes for way more than you thought I would. Ive been more successful at snapnames....
