How to bump negative search results of my name on Google?

I have negative search results that come up when my name is Googled. These are biased allegations but they give me a negative internet presence when my name is searched on Google. This is effecting my job search as it is popular for HR departments to Google candidates prior to hiring.

I have created several social and online accounts, that have diluted the search returns greatly. But I am having no success of bumping the first 2-3 results on page one.

I have joined the following Facebook, Twitter, Hubpages, LinkedIn, Digg, Flicker, Google Profile, Yahoo Profile, Myspace, Lookup Page, added my name to Youtube videos I host, and leave comments on blogs with my name.

What techniques can I use to bump these top negative results with the accounts I have created?

Are there any other sites I can join to dilute the results further or actions I can take to strenghten my positive search return webpages?

The negative results are news based and will not remove the pages.

Thanks for the advice and suggestions!

I think you have done enough for this point, social community is really a nice method to improve this factor. You just need keep doing.

Find a company that specializes in online reputation management. Pay them to do it. Or do the following :

    1. Buy a domain with your name. www . yourname . com or something close like www . yourname123 .com
    2. Fill it with blog posts on whatever you want - whether your daily ramblings about your personal life, hobbies or info on your field of expertise.
    3. Link your blog to your Twitter, FB and other social media accounts. MUST create a Google profile page with your real name and embed a link to this on all your blog posts as you being the author.
You are now creating a personality for yourself on the internet.
    4. Post blog comments with your real name and link to your blog. (Google a list of do-follow blogs)
    5. Run a small Adwords campaign specifically targeting your name as the keyword (this should put you at number #1) linking back to your now hopefull informative blog on something useful.
    6. Make a few video blog entries (podcasts, etc) and post on Youtube and embed in your blog.

That should do the trick in 3 months time. If you want to be more certain, repeat all steps over and over again for several different domains containing yourname like www . 123yourname .com, www . yournameabc . com, www. yourname xyz .com and then do .org and .net. May take a while, cost a bit but should push the other results down.

Remember that it will not happen overnight. It is a long process so you may be better off paying a company for reputation management services. You should consider going the legal route if you feel that the story about you was biased and written without merit.

Bottom line though is that you can never escape these things - somebody in the HR departments, some work colleague somewhere will eventually pull it out. And nobody is going to believe your pleas of innocence unless you can get the publication to print a retraction or remove the story altogether. If it was untrue, then your lawyer will be able to get it pulled off the net in no time.

Sorry to hear that, but unfortunately identity theft is quite common so the only think you can do about is to send emails to the admins of the sites that host info on yourself and at the same time you have to fill the internet with a true or better story about yourself which over time will make the negative pages that show on Google about you disappear and instead the results will be ones that will be favorable for you in a job interview.
