Okay, so ideally you would like to find a solution that allowed only members to have access to these items, which as ,stated above, can be done through PHPBB and some configuration options, and modules. You can even do this type of thing with Wordpress and simply password protect different posts that are made. I believe their is a plugin for Wordpress allowing multiple user accounts to have access to these password protected files. An obvious solution would be to script something yourself using PHP to setup the authentication and connect to a MySQL database to check the various logins that you may have.
