How to build network over Facebook??? Tips please..

I heard a lot about social networking sites are the best way to connect people with common interests.I am new to use facebook or twitter.I need help and ideas on how to build a network on twitter and facebook especially and also on other networking sites.

For example i want to share something about music how can i gather people who are interested in music at one point and build my network.

I need help on creating a network on facebook.How should i start n all.

please put your tips over here and i am thankful for your effort.

 

Search for exisiting groups/profiles etc that have your target audience then target them

 

Create a fan page and post actively on those artists/bands you like.

 

one more thing you can do is to invite your friends on facebook, discuss on various topics there on regular basis.

be active on facebook.

join others groups and debate there.
