How To Build Millions Of links

I have been trying to build quality links to my site, links that are still there tomorrow, in doing so i have come across many automated asp & php pages that work as clubs offering 800 + text links, i have tried a few but a week later the only links that i am finding are the the ones that i have placed using html, all the automated club links seem to be invisible whan i try running a link popularity check. Is This Common? Are there any good link trade sites out there that can build millions of links fast? linkmarket.net only allows 5 requests per day, linkalizer.com allows 50 requests per day, i want millions yes millions.:D

Thats a link farm and you are just spinning your wheels. I wouldn't spend one minute on them.

Linkmarket is ok if you know how to use it. You have to pony up the $20 though to get the usability needed. And don't say you can't afford it because you will never get the link popularity you are after for free.

Other better option right now are:
    Article Submission
    PR Releases
    Tools Development
    etc, etc

YSF1 I was taking a peek at Article Depot. How do you start off with 17,000 articles? I'm assuming most the articles were already out there and available for republishing. But don't they require linking to the article directory source...such as ezinearticles requires?

    Pause...

I checked a couple other article directories...some suggest but don't require a link back to them (but do require the authorlinks)

Still, collecting 17,000 is quite a trick! One I doubt you will be motivated to share...maybe I can pay my nephew to cut and paste for a couple years...

Its actually not a brand new site and I get a lot of submissions every day. One of the keys is partnerships. I have partnerships with two major article submission sites with whom I allow a mass submission (after a screening process) and a few other content writers that I have made it easy for to do submissions for their customers.

All those articles are still reviewed but I make it as painless as possible as they do 99% of the reviewing for me.

We don't have a single article from ezinearticles unless someone submitted to both of us.

Networking is your best tool in this situation

Ah yes...websites are made by people...keep forgetting that! :)

my mind was leaping about trying to figure how you grabbed these articles when the obvious path would be to have simply asked the webmasters and worked it out with them!

I'll be sending some articles your way.

    now for more coffee....

There was a recent announcement of a bunch of different article sites which I notice still have less than 10 articles. Merely creating a site won't do you any good. I didn't build that site for the Coop nor did I really for AdSense (yes there is AdSense on it but they merely pay the costs of the site)

    I built it for webmasters.

I continue to add features to try to address the issues that face Article Sites and keep them from being a benefit. I have a list of Article Submission sites that I used when I researched the idea for my own site. That list has around 500 sites on it.

The funny thing is at least 400 of them make submitting an artice about as difficult as possible. The majority are a ghost town with the last submission being months ago.

They all focus on themselves rather then their visitors. Hopefully in the next 6 months Article Depot will have all its new features in place to start really kicking butt.

The truth is I'm still in the red on that site as as well as its doing, it takes a lot to make a success. There are lots of people that throw one of these sites up but then abondon it a few weeks later when they realize they are actually going to have to work hard to make it succesfull.

I will be looking out for those articles ;)

This thread is an absolute must read:
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=17829

I can't tell you how many gems are in it. It starts a little slow but really builds steam when it comes to Press Releases
Once you have digested that, I will give you a few more links to good threads.

If i had to submit articles from my sites (listed in sig) and the articles get used on other sites....will it hurt my sites that the content is no longer unique or since the other articles contain a link it will not matter?

As a more SEO General question, I will answer that by saying what I do in regards to Article Submission. I typically write (or have written) 2 different kinds of articles. One is for use on my site and the other is for distribution.

The ones I use on my site I keep unique and are usually more informative or technical. I write these myself and I use them as a tool to bring people to my site. I don't think it would hurt my rankings in any way to have duplicate versions but I want to be the one and only source for that info.

The other kind is for distibution. These are meant to generate traffic through links and I am after as much distribution i can get. If the first type was a laser, these would be a giant fishing net. Trying to pull in people that don't use Search Engines to get info.

Both are excellent ways to generate visitors while the second is a little better at getting rankings.

As far as your original question, they won't hurt you in regards to dup content because the page as a whole is so different (think navigation, etc) but some articles are better suited to staying unique and getting people to come to your site.

A clever mix of both is what I practiced long before I started Article Depot

Now let me see if i am understanding this, i can take some relevant information on my relevant subject without worring about exclusive content, i can post this as a press release on prweb - result more traffic and more links. is it really that simple?

The more newsworthy it is the better response you will get. I'm not great at writing them so we hired a PR company. Its expensive but worth it.

You may want to read some of the press releases on there to get an idea of format and content.

When i started this thread i had 738 links directed to my site and i stated i was looking to build 1 million + links. well today my link count is 860 so at that rate it will take me 20 + years.
I have spent a few hours building reciprocal links as well as a few more hours on directory submissions. also i have posted my first PR Release on PR-web. if you are interested in helping with this million link mission PM me.
I will keep posting updates on how the mission is going.

Thank You all for you help and advice

baby steps my friend, think thousands, not millions. Unless you have a large budget for SEO, or have unbelieveable content, millions will be hard to get.
