How To Build Links With A Hip Hop/Rap Music Blog

I have this hip hop/rap music blog. I hope to just share music, music videos, and news with it. Does anyone know any good advice on building backlinks, and effective links on this site?

I own a popular hip hop forum and would be willing to exchange links and/or other promotions.

 

It's really easy to build links. Simply comment on thousands of blogs related to your niche. I'm pretty sure there is at least one million blog posts about hip hop. If your site is good, links will come naturally!

 

What's your hip hop forum? Would you exchange links me just to help my site out? My blog is just a month old, but I have a good quality content on the site. I would recommend writing articles about hip hop artists/CDs/songs and submitting them via article distribution sites (with plenty of links back to your site included, of course.)

 

Thanks for that tip! I share a lot of new hip hop cds/ and I could review them to my customers to give them a better knowledge on what they're gonna buy.

Given the fact that your blog could help up and coming musicians I would think that setting up a backlink goal of using video as well as podcasts would be pretty smart.

Most of us focus on the written word for links, but you have a fairly unique position to do something more interesting.
