You'll have to do a lot of research, but building backlinks has one principle - you must place an anchored link on a webpage that goes to the page you wish to rank, and it must look natural rather than looking like spam. Anchored Link in the HTML looks like this: <a href="link.html">Keyword</a> Code (markup): What I suggest for you is to research Web 2.0 Properties, Forum Posting, Blog Commenting and Social Bookmarking. There are automated software that'll help you - such as ScrapeBox, xRumer, AutoPligg, SENuke and many more - but, spend about a whole week researching and developing a profound SEO Strategy with the aim of getting quality backlinks, not quantity; meaning searching for Authority Blogs (.edu etc) and High PR Pages ... I know the above is very basic and simple - but your question is too generic and has been answered thousands, if not millions of times all ready. It's all about research. Hope that helps, Lynn.
Agree with Lynn on this, You must research your area, and find ways of getting backlinks, including anchortext ( your keyword ) . One way used by many is article marketing, others use forum posting, whilst some simply buy them, ( which is not a good idea) however you do it, try to make it look natural.
