How to build enough trust?

NOTE: When i reread this, it looked like i was advertising a site, but i couldn't rewrite it any other way and get across my point. Trust me, I tried. Skip down to the 3rd paragraph if you want to get to the meat of my question.

So I've been trying to promote a site that gives you points every time you log in or answer a poll, you also get points for referring people to the site (hence why I'm trying to promote it).

This should be really easy, it's invite only so people want it and you don't have to fill out surveys or complete offer like other sites. You turn in those points and get things like video games, consoles, snowboards, jewelry, basically anything. The rewards are also seriously under priced right now.

Now reread my description of the site and tell me it doesn't sound like a scam. That's my problem, no matter how I try to promote it, it sounds too good. I tried making a webpage but all the related domains were taken by other people trying to promote the site. That includes all the blogger names among others. It looks like one person just scooped up as many as possible.

I tried craigslist but now they require pvas for everything. I tried youtube but there are already videos about it. There are already articles in the major directories about it.

To round it out. It still sounds like a scam! (Yes I'm positive it isn't) How do I get passed people's BS sensors with something legitimate? People are just so used to being lied to that they don't trust anything now.

Ehm, why not change offer it you don't even trust it yourself? You have to believe in what you promote, that's how you build trust. Then deliver value, not a spammy link.

ChrisStigson is absolutely correct. I think the number one rule in internet marketing is promotiong a product you believe in. That doesn't mean you have to know a ton about what you are selling or have to really like the product, but you have to at least know that what your selling is worth its value. People can see right through someone who doesn't believe in what they are selling.

Sometimes its even hard to promote something that you really do believe in without sounding spammy. Spammers and cons ruined it for everyone.
