    Hi,

I have 3 new forum sites, in general topics like mmorpg or startrek. I work on SEO, and get 100-200 visitors daily, but no thread open, or post.

I see noone likes to register to a forum that looks dead.

So, what are your experiences ? How can a forum to be started well and pressure the visitors to register and post ?

I get around the same kind of traffic at my proboards site. Force guests to login to view the board after that, they'll begin posting sooner or later.

You have to make the forum lively fun place. Get your friends use it, do stupid chatting. Most love to be the part of a fun place.

You can yourself make a few interesting threads and ask your friends to reply to some of them. You can also hire some paid forum posters if you are willing to spend some money.
