    For getting back links you do following things like:

    1.Article Submission
    2.Directory Submission
    3.Online Discussion
    4.Comment Posting
    5.Blog Posting
    6.Press Release

    All these are helpful for getting the back links.

    Email sites related to yours to exchange links and leave a nice comment about their site.

    I send try and send 25-50 emails to related sites per day.

    You should get backlinks from different sources and target different
    keywords in your anchor text links. Link building is an ongoing process
    you should build links on a weekly basis, you can build backlinks through
    article distribution, directory submission, and blog postings.

    I personally use:
    - article submission
    - social bookmarking

    to generates backlinks to my sites and shoot up to top ranking at Google for particular keywords.
