not true at all. any person with real experience in SE can tell you this.. that is a myth. What you want is relevant backlinks! Sure, build your link weight with press releases, blog commenting, articles, blogs-- but; use google search operators to see where your competitors are with that key term. Use tools online to check all their backlinks to show their anchor -- do the same thing as them.. but; make sure you're relevant in googles eyes. but first see if you have a chance.. use googles keyword tool..
