All this while I have been in the IM niche without building an email list and now I have decided to build an email list.

I want to build an email list of 500 ppl without using an autoresponder as I am not going to mail them back yet. It will be a once off mail to send my free report after which I will use an autoresponder service.

At this point I want to build this email list by just using my web hosting account. Any suggestion on how to do and can you please provide me the html tag I should include in my optin page (which will be a popup page)

You need to look in your cpanel, you should have an autoresponder you can use there.

or you could pay $1 for a month at aweber

    thanks

you asked that question at warrior forum right?

Well don't bother. Is your list and treat them well don't bother to hit and run.
Beside many autoresponder services will have to ask your subscriber to reconfirm
if you import them to the account. You will lose some subscribers during this process.

So start it right and you will enjoy the benefit along the way.
Why not just try out aweber for only a $1?
