    Hi everyone,

I'll do my first post here at DP. Have been around for a while but never posted any questions. So, here I go ...

I have discovered that when I'm changing location o my AS ads, change size of the AS ad, then the next day I get a bost of between 100% - 150% ... when I don't "touch" them for a week, the earnings are dropping and will stay there until I test next placement position of the ad and even change the stat.

Is this common? or have anyone else had this phenomen?

    cya,
    /PatrikB

PS ... sorry for my bad english, it's not by birthlanguage ... DS

I have not seen the problem my self, but my earnings on AdSense are not high enough to see any changes on a large scale.

I wonder if this is related to people who are returning visitors and who have seen the ads before and become familier with the ads and do not click and then moving them somewhere else on the page makes them see something new and click.

    Just a thought ;)

    That can be true.

everymonth my site grows with about 200 new unique, the rest is "regular visitors" that "pops-in" atleast 2 times per day ;)

Yeah..I have noticed the same thing with the returning visitor disparity. it's like their is a conflict between ad vhangeover and returning site visitor. I think rolling in more content between bot visits might help. Just thinking..

I wonder if you could code something that tracks if they are repeat visitors and displays the ads in a different location. I am sure it's possible but am not sure if it would be effictive or worth the time.

Something a long the lines of having 10 home pages index1, index2 etc... and if they are a repeat visitor it sends them to page 2 and then 3 and then 4 on each visit and so each time they see a slightly different layout on the home page.

Yes I have noticed this as well when I play around with my ad setup. It sounds like a pretty normal thing to expect. Chaning up the ads design of your site would to a degree prevent ad blindness and if more people are "actually" looking at your ads and seeing them then you should see a higher CTR.

Running one of the biggest "dog community sites" in Sweden, aktivhund.se (only in swedish).

The forum stands for 75% of the pageviews/traffic (low CTR), the rest 25% (mid CTR) is content ...

    *LOL*

To much work ... not just in it for the "big AdSense money". It is just a complement to other incomes from the site. AdSense is only about 10 - 15% of the revenue from the site ...

Have also a couple of other projects that takes time and must be ready for launch asap :D

I will implement a feature like that in my CMS wich will be the base of other projects/sites in "my portfolio".
