Need advise for my developing blog..
what is the best way to boost alexa rank quickly ?

 

I don't know about quickly but I would say: Develop some interesting and useful content. Then get the word out as much as you can. If your site is good it can take off from there.

 

Basically Alexa Rank based on the number of visitors who visited your site. So, first increase the visitors for your site, then you will get some decent Alexa Rank.

 

Install a Alexa Toolbar... definitely helps! , but I personally look more @ compete rank, which shows mostly US traffic, or consider Alexa rank true only if the site is below 50k, meaning that webmasters having Alexa toolbar, can't cheat

 

yes thats the good question ... once i made a site and did experiment on Alexa ranking what i did explaining here
i installed and alexa tool bar u can install quirk search add on and alexa tool bar
then i used to open my site on my pc for regular 2 or 3 hrs daily and u can also try it on some other 2 or 3 pc where alexa tool bar already installed
then after 9 or 10 days u will see the difference . your alexa ranking will go down
in this way you can put your alexa ranking down

I follow the train of thinking that you should just work on developing a high quality site. Write good stuff, provide value, make peoples lives better, and don't just try to make a quick buck. Of course, if this is your livelihood then pick up some professional books on the matter. Otherwise, let rankings, alexa, and pagerank type stuff fall into place.

Good interesting content and marketing will get you visitors which will ultimately improve your Alexa rank.
You could also install the alexa toolbar and get a few other people to do it as well.

I think alexa ranking right now isn't good rule for count or rate anything. Just for see like that. Why would you like to increase it ?
