Hi, On facebook, I am able to bookmark links on my website, by adding a status with the link URL, which will become a backlink to my website. How to do the similar thing with Pinterest? Thanks Alan
I think I understand you question -- here's how I use Pinterest. 1. I installed Pinterest button on my browser -- check on Pinterest to see how to do this 2. When I see a picture on a webpage I want to pin, I click the pin button 3. After I click the pin button, the pinnable images appear on my screen with a pinterest logo on tham 4. I click on the image I want to pin 5. Pinterest asks me to log into my account which I do through Facebook 6. Pinterest presents me with the image I selected and allows me to add a comment about it 7. I modify whatever comment that may be there by adding my website first, and then my comment This way when someone looks at the image I pinned, my website url will show along with my comment.
As far as I understand, that option is just asking if you want search engines to be blocked from listing your pinterest profile. How does blocking them from your profile improve your ability to add links?
Thank you very much. However, I notice that the link added in this way is set to "nofollow", so actually it is useless to SEO?
