In order to avoid clicking inadvertently my own ads, I blocked adsense ads from being displayed on my PC(Win/XP):

    Open:
    c:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts
    Code (markup):
    Add:
    127.0.0.1 pagead2.googlesyndication.com
    Code (markup):

I work on both IE and Firefox for testing.

It's a good plugin for people using Firefox only

Is "127.0.0.1" not YOUR ip? At least that's what im assuming.

    You could always use: www.adlogger.org

That's right - it's localhost. This is an old trick to block any site, by redirecting it to your local address. It blocks the whole connection with adsense, but watch out - you can block a way to Adwords too. Many softwares like Kazaa (for example) installed very long list of blocked sites in hosts.txt file.

This ebook has been circulating a lot in the freebies section. It's like been there for so long, are you sure it's "your method" as you say? Anyway, what ever. This blocks all ads. It's annoying and you can't test to see how ads look on your page. I've known about this method, and Im not satisfied with havnig my adsense blocked off and not being able to see what adsense looks like on my site. Just be accurate and dont click on your ads. One accidental click probably won't get you banned from google. They just wouldn't count it.

My method : I mean the method I use, I learned it from my brother who used it to block ads on Paltalk.

If you are not interested in using it, somebody else could find it useful.

FYI: I have a laptop 'Acer travelmate' and the mouse pad isn't very accurate : ((
