how to bind / setup your domain on CentOS?

 

Are you using any control panel?

 

no i don't. :S just installed lighttpd, php and a ftp server. now all what is left is to setup the domain.

 

You are going to need a DNS server as well, or do you already have one setup?

 

how to setup a dns server? :>

i will google it but anyways... if you got a quick guide then reply please.

You should be able to install it via yum:

yum install bind

There is also a chrooted version you can install instead, depending on your preferences:

yum install bind-chroot

 

i have installed this already... and configured it with this tutorial:

it's all working... my ISP just needs more then 24h to update the dns. :S via hidemyass i can see my site already online.
