Hello guys, I own a website that is kind of a sentence dictionary. You enter a word, and it presents you with 30 examples of how to use that word in a sentence. You can do that in 6 major languages. The website receives over 50 000 daily visitors. About 15 - 20 thousand of the visitors from the US, then there is a lot from South America, and some from Europe. And today I monetise with Adsense, and make about $2500/month from it, but I feel that I could be making a lot more. Do you guys have any tips for affiliate programs or partnerships that would do me good? Thanks in advance
It's always an option to look for Google Adsense alternatives. Like CPM based networks where you could simply give a higher CPM than your Adsense as a minimum. If not met? You simply show the Google ad. This is the easiest way to improve your earnings. Have you tried Patreon or accepting donations? Premium membership with additional sentences?
Try Taboola: https://www.taboola.com/monetize-content When it comes to AdSense in-article ads perform better for me than text/image ads. Have you tried to display them?
I'd say to skip Taboola and look at AdBlade or RevContent if you can get on. Taboola like to threaten legal action with no standing.
Yup. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone because of business practices. If I thought it was a one off thing, I'd write it off, but I know at least a half dozen site owners who ended up lawyering up to deal with them. On the other hand, weve worked with Outbrain, RevContent, AdBlade - all are top notch operations in the content reco space.
You may join affiliate networks like Shareasale and CJ. They have good amount of advertisers that pay decent amount of money per sale. Just give them a try.
Yea build an email list .Just create a ebook or buy it related to your niche and offer them in exchange for email adress .With 50 000 visitors i think you will easy get 5000 mails per day . Then create a good relation and find an offer on clickbank related to your niche like tranlstion etc
Dictionary type websites often offer businesses an advertising option. I think there will be an interest taking into account that you have 50 000+ visitors daily. I'm specifically referring to banners on the website. On the leaderboard, sidebar etc. Have you tried this?
What you mention is interesting. How do you as a site owner make sure that the links that you put on your website are good?
Affiliate programs are the way to go. The best affiliate programs I've found are Amazon, Ebay, and Booking.com.
