How to best market Firefox extension? Nothing is working :(

    Hi,

I wrote a Firefox extension called Smarter Wikipedia a while back, and I'm having a lot of trouble in marketing it. Here is a list of things I tried and didn't work:

    1) Mozilla addons wouldn't approve of my extension in a timely manner because of backlogs (still waiting after 2 months)
    2) I emailed a few bloggers, no response
    3) I submitted it to reddit (in different sub-reddits) several times but not much of an response
    4) I paid for Stumbleupon Advertising, and again, very small conversion.

I'm now trying Adwords, but I'm not very hopeful. I'm hoping to use the extension to promote a search engine site which I am currently in the process of writing. If anyone is curious, the extension can be found here: http://wikiatic.com

Does my extension just suck? I see a lot of rather useless/simple Firefox addons being very popular -- for example Flagfox, which display a flag based on the server's IP. I figure that my extension is more useful than flagfox, at least, but it's not taking off.

Any suggestions? Has anyone tried to do something similar?
