Hey wolvereen123, that's a tricky question. Depends on what do you mean by "hacker". Would you like to code new stuff, or "hack" websites, or become a certified offensive security expert, etc.? First thing you should do is learn every programming language you can. Seriously, the more the better. Second, you need to get familiar with linux-based OSes. There is one OS which was designed by "hackers" for "hackers". It is called BackTrack. If you are serious about learning, you can kiss your real life goodbye. Naturally, there are a lot of good courses from which you can study. Sorry I couldn't help you more. hi wolvereen123, glad you are really interested in taking up hacking. But hacking is not something like you see in die hard 4!!! it's more complex and requires lots (believe me tons and tons) of hardwork, patience and determination. You need to constantly improve on your skill set. Like MarketerScientist said do all that things. If you manage to clear even a single step that he pointed out, you will be glad to hear that you will be able to *hack* half of the things(depends on the type of hacking you choose)! For now, go for a strong programming language like C/C++ or python(half of the exploits are in python). Then depending on whether you want to hack web applications or desktop applications, go for PHP for former and reverse engineering for latter. By the time, you'll do it. You will be a *as we know hacker*. JuST Don't Give up!!! Gud luck

Don't take advice from any of the above people. They think "hacking", an honorable ability, is equivalent to "cracking", performed by the scum of the earth. I am a hacker, as are the top computer scientists of the world, but none of those same scientists would dare claim to be a cracker. This sentence where you claim to hack but want to know how to be a hacker shows you don't have the knowledge or ability to be a hacker or a cracker so just stick with your XBox and leave things alone.
