    I'm doing my best in that regard. We are well regarded generally in the Warriors community and have a suite of useful articles as well as a very active forum. Problem is that the warriors community is so competitive within itself {though not really with SEO} that nobody will link to you without a link back, practically, within that community.

    You can become an authority site if your content is top noch and you will do some link building/social bookmarking, etc. Soon people will follow your site and recommend it to their readers.

    ...It's been 5 and a half years :p

    {We just moved to a new domain/server, but the site itself is that old.}

    I make the content as good as I can, and build links in all the usual ways {but not spamming.}

    How many pages do you have? If you have a couple thousand well optimized pages - you could be an authority site.

    Do you get a lot of traffic? Are you appearing in the top ten of competitive niches?

    Of course its possible... create content that solves problems for your users - things like tutorials, videos, and tools, surveys, research results, etc. Users who find helpful content are likely to pass it on.

    It all comes down to Content... As it always does.... If your content is great, you will automatically build natural authority backlinks to your site. And in that case, Google will recognize your site as having authority.

    I have a forum with over a million posts, and a guides section. Hm I just got the idea maybe to start a series of articles on advice and info about the genre, on my forum, that might generate some linkage!

    Thanks guys!!!

    I just authority would base on users if users often visit your site and got good reviews that would be the time your site would get good reputation.
