    I'm not one of those crazy people - same as you are crazy. Don't ever try to compare me with anyone, there is no possibility in doing so.

    that's pretty hypocritical. I myself as well as many friend's of mine are Ron Paul supporters and look nothing like that..Let me ask you a question, why has he won so many polls? Do you think most of America look like this?

    What polls would these be? The CNN poll currently has paul at 1% and he's not even mentioned in the Rasmussen poll.

    I wouldn't quite call that "winning".

    polls? people still believe in polls? BTW, when you only poll about 10 people, of course Paul's numbers could be up...:D

    Here's the 3 RP supporter's typical answers:

    1- The polls are fixed to make sure he gets less support

    2- Ron Paul supporters don't have phones so the pollsters never reach them.

    3- He gets 70% in straw polls started by truther groups - and those are the "real" voters

    Pick one. An RP supporter is bound to mention one of those.

    I think you hit the nail on the head...especially about those straw polls...Paul has won a "majority" in most of those, and most of those have only about 100 people or so who vote....so yeah, I guess he is gaining support..:rolleyes:

    Try several hundred, and some of them like the recent Texas Straw Poll have very stringent requirements on who can and cannot vote, which makes Paul's 17 % very impressive.

    That was 17% of established Republican insiders, a very good showing.
    ~~~~~~~
    Proof Ron Paul is popular: Meetup.com = Over 40,000 members now have joined local Ron Paul groups.
    Number 2 is Obama with only ~5,400 people.
    ~~~
    Now let's look at the numbers again (some of us, here at DP, don't like reality :p)

    Ron Paul = over 40,000 willing to help out, in the real-world, for no pay.
    Obama = only ~5,400
    All four other well known Republicans = virtually ZERO.

    gemini, wait for the 3rd Q financials. I'm guessing that MeetUp fund raising campaign generated a lot of money. From my rough estimates, high 6 figures if not over a million.

    Btw, Ron's on the campaign trail right now in California, then later this week in Seattle and later Michigan. His campaign is just starting to ramp up.

    :) :( :D

    I share some of your enthusiasm

    • For over a year (almost two) I was able to ignore current news and politics...
    • ...sometimes 'ignorance' really is bliss.

    We both like to see Ron doing well; I'm still adapting to giving up, then starting to care just a little bit.

    ~~~
    "In California"
    Some good Ca videos should be out really soon.
    "MeetUp fund raising campaign generated a lot of money."
    His rallies draw good sized crowds, and now his private parties are getting expensive.
    • Good for him; Even Ron's 'enemies' often say respectful things about his honesty.
    • He deserves to have some time in the limelight. :)
    Heh. Search google for "mary katharine ham texas straw poll" and see video of these "republican insiders" - I think your enthusiasm in this victory will wane, somewhat.
    Ron Paul talks about the (911) Saudi hijackers, right?:
    • You are very wrong, or...
    • ...???...
    • Can you share with us why you say things which aren't true???
    Good point, and...
    The best way to support the troops is to bring them home.
    Also, one way to help the economy (long-term) is to stop wasting money on mass-murder.
    There's nothing worse than a Native American or African American strapping a bomb to themselves and murdering dozens of people a day because of how bad we treated them.
    Oh, they don't do that?
    I wonder why...
    And I wonder why it is so hard to name a single country that hasn't been affected by Islamic terrorism. The whole world must be full of jerks because Muslims can't stop murdering people from all over the world.
    Ron Paul is a typical tool that thinks this Islamic terrorism thing is somehow new and an American only thing. Clue by four time: Muslims have been murdering people all over the world long before the US was even a country. They hated the British before they hated America. And why oh why would they hate the British? Because Egypt was controlled by the British. Can't have that.
