ya use webmaster tools. also use a free sitemap generator, even if it is basic static. google seems to like things that like have there tools installed... i hear that yahoo and msn may accept google sitemaps... true?

    My personal suggestion as below:
    1) www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/
    2) write 10-100 articles and submit them to potential article directories

    These 2 are done already.
I have a sitemap and I'm at my 23rd articles and doing 1/day.
    I'm on Yahoo, msn, etc...
    except google and ask

Don't bother submitting to Google. All you need is one single backlink from a PR4-5 site - that's the quickest way to get into Google.

    * Either get listed in a good second tier directory (Skaffe, Gimpsy JoeAnt...) for ~$30
    * Do a bit of research and find a directory (or any other site) that gives you a free listing.

    * Write an article or press release and submit it to some quality article directories.

    * Try to get a free recipr. link from a site that gets crawled regularly (good PR)

    * Creating a blog on blogger.com and linking to your site doesn't seem to work any longer

    Hope that helps.

Create/Make an entry to robots.txt file. That may trigger spider. I tried it and got indexed in 3 days.

submitting your sites is waste of your time . the new method to be indexed ny google or the other search engines is making link exchange .

with this way search engine will find you ;)

I've heard that robots.txt is exactly an ennemy to search engine.
    What is it exactly?

Not necessarily true. I posted on my PR5 home page a link to a new inner page. That was in October(!!!) and that new page is still not indexed in Google. Strangely enough, newer links I posted on that same PR5 page in November have been indexed.

Also, I've had the same page in my signature for many weeks ("...Spiritual Retreat..." below) and it's still not indexed.

Indexing is the first hurdle. The long one in the Google Sandbox.

Another option is share your experience in popular forums such as DP. I have a feeling a lot of guest viewing here is refering to search engine spiders. In other word, those spiders will crawl your site soon. :D

The more links you have the morelikely you are to get indexed. Outgoing links are okay but find sites or directories that will provide incoming links to your site. The more popular (higher the PR) the better. If PR is really high say 6,7,8,9 they get indexed all the time and as soon as you have a bunch of links from high ranking pages the sooner you will be indexed.

The Google Sandbox is an alleged filter placed on new websites.
