I need a service provider who will assure me to list my website www.tenbills.com in dmoz. Being a SEO i know no one guarantee about the listing of website in dmoz. Still someone can guide me to increase the chance of website to be included. I'm unable to find the suitable category of my website even. I'm myself a seo expert but as long as dmoz is concern, i always been called layman :p

Everything you can legitimately do to submit you can do yourself. It's not exactly rocket science.

The category would be http://www.dmoz.org/Shopping/Clothing/Casual/T-Shirts/ or s subcategory that fits best)

Title: your site or company name. The title is about identification not description.

Description: what the site is about. The voice speaking in the description is not you but the Open Directory - imagine how a neutral third party would describe your site (i.e. no "we", no "you", no call to action or other advertising verbiage.)

There is no such thing as a guarantee to have you listed. The only one who can do that is an editor and if they are doing that, they should be kicked out. You just need to have a quality site and submit it.

Well, trying to be 'assured' of being listed in DMOZ is like trying to be 'assured' you'll get a seat when you're flying stand-by.

Again, like people here have suggested, have a quality site and sumbit to the correct category. Then move on to other things.

Dmoz is very tricky. I threw together a bad real estate website, year ago, and some how it got listed on a PR4 dmoz page? as TSChild stating, keep all your info, right to the point.. Dont try to sell anything.

I have a website and want to make it to be included by dmoz. Do you know dmoz's rules? And would you like to give me some suggestions? ...

You bump a really old thread to ask this? On your website, you claim to be an SEO service provider and yet you know nothing about DMOZ ??? How can anyone be confident that you are any good at SEO?

Why real SEO should care or even know about DMOZ?

You're right. Editor use to say DMOZ has nothing to do with SEO. But, wait a moment. Some DMOZ editors like pvgool are SEO expert and sell seo services! Could that be the connection? ;)

Did they send you an email? That's strange.

But, if they are unable to explain why did they reject you site. What's make you think we can?

They will tell you that as long as your site meets the guidelines it won't be rejected and should still be waiting in the queue for revision. But we all know that's not true. There is a number of known and unknown reasons for a site to be rejected. And those aren't in the public guidelines. :)

DMOZ is a tough one. I submitted a site in April that's still not in there. No email saying they won't list, but it's just not there.

Other than completing the forms to the best of my abilities, I don't know any secrets to get in there.

Well, Editor should at least know what SEO is all about.
Good Editor should make sure suggested sites meet SEO terms.

The problem only some of them fully understand what SEO means and that is why
you will find sites listed in DMOZ Index that lacking Meta Tags and with poorly build pages

    ;)
