    The turnoff is the lack of a constant. I will rank higher and faster in yahoo for some keywords / site, yet have to work a lot harder to do the same in google. However, this situation will be completely reversed for a different site / keywords.

    First of all make a research, find out who is your competitor in yahoo for the keywords you want to rank high. Then look on his links. Then start building links, hope that helps.

    Quality and sometimes even not-so-quality backlinks for Yahoo.

    What will rank in yahoo and msn won't always rank in google...but you'll still get good amt of traffic

    Another tip: Content is king and will likely stay king regardless of changes in algorithms .

    Yahoo! search places much more value on domain names than Google.
