    IMO, 'How to be a good domainer' is a wide topic, do you mean by registering new domain names or recycling registered domain names? in large quantity or little quantity? directly purchase or reseller purchase? Which domain name are you targeting at, TLDs, ccTLDs or other ?
    The key point, what do you want and where are you expecting to get to with domain names?
    Come what may, hope you can change your idea into actual profit.

    Domains are like wine; they get better as they age. I agree with everyone here and I would like to add, invest on your domains by developing them if you have the skills or the means. It's like shooting two birds at a time: you learn at the same time earn.
