How to backup and restore wordpress?

    I want to change my host. How I can transfer my existing blog into new host?

    I took the backup from cpanel>>backup>> home directory and sql file.

    now what steps i should take in new host?
    How to restore?

    install wordpress > upload wp db manager plugin and import ur db or import ur mysql db via phpmyadmin.

    ensure u take full backup at 2 places.

    Just restore your home backup at your new hosting server then restore mysql DB at new hosting server, create user for that db and change details about new user and password in config.php thats all.
