How to back up database externally?

    How do I back up all files/folders and tables to an external source outside of my current host?


    I can FTP files/folders to an HD or online file storing service sure... but how does that help with phpmyadmin or database tables?


    I want to be able to quickly transfer entire database to a new host if necessary

    You can use navicat software. Search google and try the trial version. It is very good.
