I know that AdWords has some strict policies. Does anyone know how to best way to avoid violating AdWords policy?
Best way to avoid violation of adwords policies is education yourself ( knowing ) these policies. if you are aware of the policies then I'm sure you wont make any violation of adwords policies.
Praveen is correct in my opinion. Educating yourself on the policies is the best way to avoid violating them but here are some general thoughts that I keep in mind to avoid policy issues. 1. The site should be a "final destination". The searcher should be able to find what they are looking for within the site. They should not have to leave the site first. 2. Original content. Does the site offer good original content. 3. Would you feel comfortable sending your own mother to the site to find information or make a purchase? If the answer is no to any of these then there is a good chance you might have some policy issues. If the answer is yes to all then there is a good chance you are ok. Obviously, these thought are based on site policies which are the tougher ones. Editorial policies and such are much easier to understand and avoid and usually do not lead to permanent suspensions.
Hello, Preventing violations Here are some tips for keeping your account clean and clear of policy violations in the first place, so your ads can run smoothly: • Learn the key principles behind our ad policies, like "Advertising shouldn't violate users' trust or privacy." Following these principles alone can help you avoid violations. You can also dig into the specific underlying policies to learn details (full list of policies). • If you receive a warning during ad creation, review the relevant policy to understand if you're compliant before uploading the ad. • Ensure your contact information is up to date to receive policy notifications, and be sure to read any emails we send you about AdWords policies. We also post all policy updates online ahead of time. Have a charming day
OK I think we need to be more specific here. The most common ad violations are as follows: Over-use of CAPITALISATION or punctuation!!! Landing page not working (make sure you type it correctly) Advertising prices or offers which are not clearly displayed on the landing page Copyright infringement Restricted products/services (pharmacetical, adult, etc) Inclusion of contact details (telephone numbers or email addresses are no longer allowed) Anything illegal! It can be frustrating, especially if you're trying to be creative. I once ran a campaign for a mobile phone company, in which I used an ad that employed "text-speak", so it went something like this: Gr8 Mobile Deals Contract or PAYG We wont b beaten on £! Needless to say Google pulled the ad, but not until it had been running for about 24 hours and generated a lot of profitable traffic for my customer!
Read the policy here at https://support.google.com/adwordspolicy/answer/1316548?hl=en If you are aware about the policies, you will not make any mistake.
Yes, you can have AdSense ads on your landing page as long as your landing page also contains original content as well. Think of it this way, the purpose of your landing page can not be "to advertise for other domains". AdSense ads do not get preferential treatment. If you have a website with the sole purpose of getting traffic to click on ads you will probably run into policy trouble. Try to provide original content and valuable information on your pages and you should have no trouble have a few AdSense ads as well.
