How to avoid the Adwords Slap !?

    It happened again to my website that Google Adwords slapped my campaign (an with it my whole domain) from keyword quality-scores of 10/10 to 1/10, shutting it of basically.

    I think it's a general problem, especially for affiliates. Let's bring together the best practices to avoid the adwords slap and get to the ground of this, because it is confusing enough as it is and Adwords support isn't really helping.

    Here are some thinks I guess you should avoid:

    - too much links to affiliates (visible, I dont cloak the links at the moment)
    - redirected links to other affiliate sites with bad reputation in Googles eyes
    - the general concept of the review-site as a bridge-page (but you see thoses sites all over the place)
    - the kind of content (avoid duplicated content)
    - what about the general review to affiliate slightly deceiving style (especially after a human review)

    Please talk from your experience and what you do, so we can conquer this once and for all!

    I have found the best way to avoid the Google slap is by having many pages added slowly over 7 days and also must be unique content, you must have a contact us, about us, and a privacy policy page to look good in Googles eyes.

    Also did you really have 10/10 Q score I find that hard to believe.

    Ugh, I never can fix this. Some bizop related offers will never run in some countries, but yet in others I get 7/10 quality score.

    I'm sure if you add more content and to a ton of page changes, they might improve quality score, but for me it never happens, its like the moment they set it to 0/10, it's NEVER going to come back up. :(

    Yes, i don't even waste time trying to change anything once this happens.From my experience it seems once you get slapped , whatever domain you were using is flagged .. not matter what changes you make.. if it was a profitable campaign, i just immediately buy a new domain

    I find google adwords is getting way more expensive CPC's and way tougher on quality score. Must have been easier a few years ago hey?

    To avoid being slapped watch some Arny movies (Terminator 1 and 2, Commando, etc) and try employing a matrix style bullet dodge maneuver so when they are about to slap you you move like one of the Agents and then slap them back up the side of the head. Failing this try applying for the dole. I hate standing in the doles cues though. Ugh.

    OK, now, you must add some standard things to your sites. Have them ready in template form in a folder so you can use them for all campaigns...

    You'll need:

    * A disclaimer
    * A privacy policy
    * Some PLR articles (Spun of course) - or just rewrite stuff from EzineArticles.com (don't be lazy, it's not that hard)
    * TOS (optional)
    * Earnings disclaimer (if you're in the IM niche)
    * Links (one strategic link to another product and one to an authority site in your niche)

    Study how Google itself has their pages and you'll be in good stead for PPC and SEO. Also look at who's consistently at the top for PPC ads (at least 2 weeks bu pref. longer). How are they setting out their content? Too easy man.

    Actually, you do not need as much as you think. Google basically looks for relevancy. If you are promoting Big sore feet, and your ad says "learn how to cure your big sore feet", then your landing page MUST talk about Big sore feet.

    You would want BIG sore feet in the Title, and start talking about "curing your big sore feet as soon as you can.

    You do NOT need tons of content or any articles at all. And in fact, Google loves short and to the point landing pages. I mean those pages that would briefly talk about the big sore feet and have your email capture box right there in the middle of the page. In other words, your entire content is in the upper fold of the page. The only other pages you MUST have is the Privacy page. They like it if you have a Disclaimer (if needed) and a Contact page. Other then that, you do not need anything else.
