How to avoid mail going into spam?

This am bit worrying when I am promoting my sites through email. Sometimes mails will land into spam folders. Can somebody help me out how to avoid the mail dropping into spam folders? OR Under what circumstances mail will be delivered onto spam folders?

    Thanks in advance....

Try sending fewer emails out at a time, send in batches and space apart. Use multiple IP addresses. Using the same IP address can sometimes get you tag as spam. Also if you use a shared server same applies.

    Hi ya Peter,

depending on what you're promoting there are certain key words and phrases that most email programs peg as Spam. A quick Google search should turn up a list of them. If you use an autoresponder like Aweber, iContact or Getresponse they have a spam rating feature that lets you know the high/low percentage of your email message containing those "forbidden" key words so that you can re-phrase or use an alternate word.

I'm not sure about the IP thing since I rarely run email campaigns from my personal email address.

    Good luck!:D

Be carefull on the title of the email. Of course, check that your IP is not flagged as spammer.
Also watch the keywords on your email and the links.

First of all, how are you sending all those e-mails out? Are you doing it through any autoresponder service?

If you want any specific mail id not to go in spam. Then you just need to add that mail id in your address book. Then that mail id won't go in your spam folder. Thanks
